Week 25. People. Job interview. Present continuous

 Week 25.
Date -  23-d of March – 30 - th of March.
Topic: People. Personality. Present Continuous. Job interview. 

During  the 25  week (24.03,27.03.2015) at first the teacher Ruslana shown a few blogs (last topic) and we did work on the bugs blog (робили роботу над помилками). Also we  havefound the irregular verbs in the texts. Ruslana gave the litle crosswords in the topic VERBS. It was very interesting! I like crosswords!Also Ruslana explained how to work on the new site. It mean that we will have this homework with IT technology! It means that i will learn something about the technical part of our cource! 

The teacher showed us a fragment of it, then we retold the story  about  the adventures of the girl and her father... I did not read this story, that is why i kept the silent, when the teacher Ruslana  asked me, about what this story. Oоps)))))) Also we  have discussed  about it. 

We had a little talk about the theatre, which plays we saw in it and when we were in the theatre last time. Teacher  expained the topic about Present Continuous Time. The teacher talked when it used. he explained about this kind of the Time based on the children"s book. It was a little role- play.

In the face-to-face meeting( the twenty- fifth of March) we  read the text about St.Patrick"s Day, retold it, also we did some grammar exersices about it topic:  1) we put the correct words in the text (it was easy for me);  2) We did multiple choice (it was easy for me);  3) we spelt the jumbled words correctly. (It was listening - аудіювання)-it was easy too).  I saw a lot of new words  in the text for themself.  I must to learn its! 
Then the teacher gave us a topic about people"s character (words) and we had to described the one of the classmaters....(we had a paper with the pictures of the person with the and adjectives under the each picture). It was funny and joke! But a lot of words i don"t know...  I must to learn its!

Week 24

 Topic - Homereading. 

                     

   TINKER"S ISLAND.

 I  liked this short story about the girl Jenny and her father Sam, who were very friendly and had a good relations. 

It  happened a several accidents with them.

When her father cheated and was imprisoned for theft to a ship, the young girl dressed the sailor"s form and asked the captain to be a cook on the ship. She wanted to save the father this way. This meant that she loved her father very much.

Every day she was near him in the ship, but he did not know about it. In the one night she could to penetrate into the captain's cabin and stolen keys from the prison. I liked this adventure story.

I was struck the fearless behavior and  these actions of Jenny. I liked theirs life in the island. They searched for the food, built the house together. Also i like caring"s attitude of the daughter when her father was bitten by a snake. Jenny prepared to eat, hunt itself. They called this island TINKER"S ISLAND.  

Later they saw a ship that saved them and they sailed to America. But it was hard  to leave this place, because this island was the native already for them.

When i read this story i imaged this island, which had a beautiful nature, unusual birds, theirs songs, a lot of delicious fruits. When i was reading this story, I imagined myself there.  

It  happened a several accidents with them: 

1) People accused him of stealing a watch and he was taken in the ship as thief;

                                                                             

 2) Jenny swam in this ship as cook beacause she wanted to be with  her father;

                                                                               3) She took a  key from  the  the prison and freed the father;

                                                                                4) They gave a boat and sailed in it to an island, which called "TIMKER"S ISLAND".

                                                                                 5)Jenny"s father was bitten by the shake;

                                                                                  6) One day they saw a ship, which took them to America.

That is all.

Week 24

Date-16th of March- 23-d of March.

Topic - Homereading. Some facts about Ireland. 

During  the 24  week (16.03,20.03.2015) we  talked about selebration of the St. Patric day, which selebrated in Ireland every year. Also the teacher told us about the culture of this country, its traditions. Ruslana told us where is Ireland situated, showed the map of this country  has told and symboles in the flag of it. We saw a piece of the nice Ireland dance.  

Also we talked about the mythical person, (leprecon), who saves the treasures from everybody. After that we read the text, in which we tried to find the irregular verbs. And we made a few sentences with verbs in Past simple.

   

20.03.2015 we spoke about the solar eclipse, which was in this day. Amazing virtual travel to USA!

It was a warm autumn day of October.  The leaves were slowly fallen down from the trees. Somewhere we heard the song of some birds, which were going to fly to warm countries.  There  was  a  silence in the streets  and  we could  hear  the  rustle  of the  leaves. 

Who were we? We were the future students of the New English Courses. It was created a new project for us by America- it is project for the people with disability in Ukraine. As for me, it is a great idea, because the learning of the new language in our time is very important and it gives more opportunities to find jobs for people with disabilities. And I like English!

So, we- future students - waited for the amathing virtual travel by Ameriсa. 

I remembered our first lesson and meeting with our teacher Victoria. I was a little scared, when she begun to talk what about we will be learn- it is topics about USA, culture, traditions of this country. Also she told that we will be do our home -works in the computer at home and will send its on  a page to the main our virtual teacher (Ruslana). After these worlds I truly frightened, because a computer is not my best friend.  

On the first lesson everybody listened to the teacher but I thought about one thing- HOW IT IS ALL I COULD HAVE MASTERED AND CAN I IT LEARN EVEN? I was a little sad in that day....

Then I saw our site, where was a lot of strange for me, I was in very big panic!!!  I did not understand nothing, what I had to do and how!!  Later was the first on- line lesson, in which we met with our virtual teacher Ruslana in the SCYPE…  She is  a very pretty, friendly, communicative person. She explained what we will be study on this site.  She is  a very calmly and clearly person and super teacher!  

I had a lot of questions to her each lesson and i always amazed that she never was angry and explained everything, what i did not understand. I never saw her without the smile.  

Besides, the teacher has combinesed the study of English with the computer technologies. It was hard for me at first. But soon step by step I begun to understand it and that was a very useful and interesting for everybody from us! I want to say that I felt in love with this site! I always waited with a very eagerly for the next lesson! (virtual and  face- to face).

Our teacher Victoria, who teaches us in the real lessons - the young woman, has found an individual approach to each of us and makes our lessons very interesting. We go in the lesson face - to face one day a week.  

Our  Poltava  group  has  not  a  lot  of  pupil,  but we  are very friendly, funny! We are the reаl super team! We do a lot of interesting exercises – dictations, teach to build the dialogues, re-telling texts, play in the role- games, read texts, and learn the topics about USA. The teacher Victoria tries to make a variety of lessons. I am a glad that I   have   these creative teachers. I never thought that I would study some facts about USA, American traditions and holidays. Also  I  knew different facts  about  politic  of  this  country.  

I could not never think before that i taught how create own blog, where i can write all my thoughts, feelings. Also I taught to create the fotobable and voci, learned the codes (links)- it was the new for me.      

This site  combined  the people from  the  several  regions  of   the country.And it is cool, because we do  not feel alone –we can  communicate  by  the  scype,  chat. 

Everybody can proves and self - realized themselves as a person. Besides, on the site Google+ we can see all our classmates, their interests, hobbies, thoughts, and life positions.

  

LET IS GO TO OPISHNYA!

I would like to tell about the famouse town in Poltava region- it is Oposhnya. This is a small village, but it is famous all over Ukraine and abroad by the pottery. In this picturesque village a lot of people produce jugs, vases,  souvenirs for any taste. 

There is a large museum of pottery in it and people from others countries go there every year. Everyone who comes here, buys souvenirs for their relatives and families. It is may be clay mugs, plates,ceramic tableware set. I would like to propose everyone, who will be in this town, buy something small, but memorable for yourself or family- it is may utensils or small statuette.

There are a lot of clay skulpturies in this territory- characters of Ukrainian writers. Many people can make a nice photos near its. So welcome to Opishnya!!!!

Week 23. 9- of March-16th of March. Travelling, souvenirs, Past Simple again.

On-the line meeting, which was the 09-th of March, after selebration of  Women"s Day, was about the disscutions of it holiday, we talked about selebration of it and what kinds of gifts we gave for our lovely people in it. Then Ruslana gave us the role- play, where we bought and sold the different presents in other stores of shop. 

Then we learnt to sold a tourists the souvenirs by our cities. We repeated the  topic about the currensies and prices. Also we repeated a little grammar - it were irregular verbs and Past Simple. 

We have told, what kinds of the souvenirs he/she bought when goes by trip. And, of cource,we talked about the differrent countries! 

Then we started to talk about the famous Ukrainian patriotic person - Shevchenko,  his life a little and someone from us declameited his poems. Ruslana talked about his main book- it is KOBZAR. It was cool lesson!

On the line meeting(13.03.2015) our teacher has prepared a very cool lesson for us! The topic was about Past Simple and traveling by the different kinds of the transport. We read the text about the travelling, a few dialouges and learned the new words. We built the sentenses from the words,which the teacher gave us. Also we translated the irregular verbs and called the three forms of its. We have took the verbs in the e-mail-letter from the picture, which showed Ruslana for us. She showed, how looks our 

e-mail-box and which of  a functions there are in it.

On the meeting (11.03.2015)   we   had   a  very сool  lesson. At  first  everybody from  us  told about  the  sightseeings  of  the  different countries,  which  who knows.  Then  we  told   which  of   the  country  we  want  to  visit  and why. Also we  wrote  a little text  where  we  will go  on  a  trip  if  we' ll  have  an opportunity.  

After   that   we repeated the irregular verbs and had  a  little  dictation  about its.  Also we remembered about currencies  of  others countries. The  teacher gave  a  small  listening text  (аудi ювання)  on  the  topic  trip.  It  wasn’t so   hard  for  me   as  before.  But  I  see  that  I need to  work  with  this  kind  of   it. 

This   lesson  was the  very interesting  and  useful  for  me. Our  teacher  always prepares  a  lot  of  interesting  exercises  for  us. 

Some words about the author of the most Ukrainian book - KOBZAR- about T.G. Shevchenko

Taras Shevchenko was a great Ukrainian poet,painter and the patriot.  He was born in 1814 in a little village Morintci in a very poor family.  

From childhood young boy became to wrote his own little poems. 

Besides, he also  began to drawn the pictures- it was nature. But the first his famous book was the KOBZAR. He compared  the lives of ordinary  and the rich people. This book has become known in the whole world.    

In our days his house became a museum and there is a monument of  mother"s Taras with him in her hands. Also we can see a small garden in the territory of  the Museum.

MY FANTASTIC TRIP TO ODESSA/ZATOKA

My amazing trip to Zatoka.

Last year I was in the beautiful place - it was Odessa region, city of  Zatoka, in Nadzbrucha.There was an amazing my trip! When I saw it place,I have thought  that I got in a fairy tale!The area was not very big, but very appointed!(ухоженная) and there was a different kinds of the flowers.They were  everywhere! Also there was a lot of  brunches in the territory. As for me, I was in the little island of paradise!   

This place had one a two-storey house and  cozy small houses  on two or three people. It  had all the amenities.

There was a dining room and a club where everyone can play billiard, tennis, checkers, chess, darts. Its games were available for people with disabilities. Although  a  few  meters  to  the  sea  was  not  road, only  sand, it was necessary  to  help  got  to  the  beach  the people in the chairs. The beach was very clear. We were there five days and each of them was incredible for us. 

I was  there  with  the  team  from  Poltava  region  which led  Chumak S. A. Also there was team  from  Odessa.  Every day everybody from us took  part in the different kinds of sport games such as  darts, boccha,  chess.

The   monument  of  the   Kotlyarevsky  was   set  on August 30 (September 12)  in  1903  after  his  death.

Ivan Kotlyarevsky was  the  founder  of  the  modern  Ukrainian language   literature,  his works  are  humorous  and  satirical.  The  writer  showed   it new  modern  literature  in the  great  genre  poem  Aeneid.  It  literature  work   had incorporated  pearls of satirical  folk  humor. (цей   твір  увібрав  в  себе  перли сатиричного народного гумору).  

It  work  Aeneid  gave  rise  to  a new  genre in Ukrainian  literature.  Thanks  to this  work  Ivan   Kotlyarevsky  became  famous all over the  world.  He  also  had the one of the famous work- it is Natalka - Poltavka.  These  are  two  of  the  best works  by  Kotlyarevsky.  In  our  days  these performances are shows in the  theatres. Besides, he also was the playwright  (драматург),  poet . 

Ivan   Kotlyarevsky  was   born  in   Poltava   in  1769  and   lived   there  until   his  death.  He  was  died  in  1838.  

The   monument  of  the   Kotlyarevsky  was   set  on August 30 (September 12)  in  1903  after  his  death.  It  is  situated  in  the  Boulevard  of   Kotlyarevsky  (to 1908  it  place  was  named  as  Protopopivskyy   Boulevard).

The  project  of  the  Kotlyarevsky's  bust   belongs  to  Leonid Posen,  pedestal made  by the  architector  O. Shirshov.  It  was  a  great  event  and  the opening of  the  monument  was  attended   by  such  famous  people  as  Kotsyubynsky, Panas  Mirniy,  Olena  Pchilka, Lesya  Ukrainka.  

The  pedestal  is  decorated  with  three   (горельєфами)   which  are  reproducing three   episodes  of  the  most  famous  works of   the  writer—these are  "Aeneid", "Natalka Poltavka" and "Moskal- charivnic".

Above  the  monument  is written   such   words:   "Where  consent  in  the  family, where   peace   and  silence  - happy   people   there,  blessed  side"(де згода  в сімействі, де мир і тишина, щасливі  там люди, блаженна сторона)  and  words  of   Taras   Shevchenko: "Glory  to  the  sun  shone,  kobzar not  die  for  ever  it   welcomed" («Слава сонцем засіяла: не вмре кобзар, бо навіки   його   привітала»). The  height  of  the  monument  is -5, 7 meters.

The  museum - Kotlyarevsky's  house, which  located  in  one  of  the  picturesque  corners  of   Poltava, near  the  (БЕЛАЯ  БЕСЕДКА) –нету аналога в переводе- was  restored  in  1969.  This  museum  is  very beautiful  now !    There are the  well (колодязь)  with  wooden crane, ( з дерев’яним журавлем), a few  old  trees on  the  yard . 

Museum has a few rooms:   working   room, living   room, bedroom, kitchen, chamber(світлиця). We  also can see some antique things in it . That is all!

  

Week 22. 2 th of March-9 th of March. Topic:: Sightseeng. Werbs was, were

Topic:  Signtseeng. Report from the trip.

During  the 22  week of my learning the English course(02.03.2015) we repeated an irregular verbs, Past Simple and werb to be..,  read dialogues and  the text  in Past Simple.(I was ashamed that I forgot Past Simple)..I decided for myself that this topic i repeated  again it. 

And we started to learn the new topic - it is signtseengs of a few countries such as Poland, Paris and  others.The teacher watched everybody the photos of the monuments the famous peoples who knews the famous persons and in which country it states. It was very  informative for me. 

Also we read dialouges in pairs about a hotel (one was  a guest of any country and the other person-hotelier(власник готелю). He gave an advances  where you can go in this city  and  which are signsteengs are in it. That is all!!!!!

Week 21. Travels. Again about the hotels.

Date - 23d of February- 2d of March.
Topic - Travelling. At the hotel. 

During  the 21  week of my learning the English course we talked about the hotel , teacher showed us a few photos of hotels and  we  have chosen in which we wanted to stay and why, described its. Ruslana  learned to make questions us about a hotel. It was super lesson! (By the way, all our lessons are super!) 

It was a little video from the site Vicipedia about  a hotel in the form of  the evidence. The achitector by it is from Ukraine! (L.Daviduk). It is uncredible hotel is situates in Bukovel.That is all, my dear reader!

In the face-to-face meeting( the twenty-fifth of February)  continued to teach the topic about hotel. We learned to make dialogue about hotel and did it in the role-play. The teacher explained to us some of the nuances upon arrival to the hotel. Also we have learned that the right to speak at check-in a hotel, how to explain to the clerk what we kind of room (single, kopeck piece) we want. Everybody have told, when and how he/she life to travel.
